Catching up

A little while back there was a free day at all National parks and Monuments so we went and hiked down the monument closest to us. This is the view from the top. There were three strollers along so...we only hiked down!Grandma B. sent Holden some little boy toys so here he is opening them up!
After a long day out with Daddy Holden must have missed his sister. He went and got his Tractor House magazine and sat down with his hand on Heidi.

Caught mommy watching!

Trying to catch a smile!

Crop Dusting

This is what has been flying over our house lately. It is so much fun to watch. This field he was spraing has powerlines at both ends! We could not see exactly what he did at the south end of the field but at the north end he was flying under the powerlines! Doesn't this look like fun!?

Rhubarb Cheesecake Smoothies

Just thought I would get around to posting this scrumptious recipie...great for those who have lots of rhubarb and strawberries! We usually cut the recipie in half. The full recipie will serve 6.

Prep time 20 min + cooling

2 c. diced fresh or frozen rhubarb
1/4 c. water
4 Tbs honey, divided
1 1/2 c. vanilla ice cream
1 c. milk
1 c. fresh or frozen strawberries
2 pkgs (3 oz. each) cream cheese, cubed
1/2 c. vanilla yogurt
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
5 ice cubes

In Large saucepan, bring the rhubarb, water and 2 Tbs honey to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until rhubarb is tender. Remove from the heat; cool to room temperature.
In a blender, combine the ice cream, milk, rhubarb mixture, strawberries, cream cheese, yogurt, confectioners' sugar, ice cubes and remaining honey; cover and process for 1 minute or until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses; serve immediately.

Observation

Has anyone noticed H's little head peeking out of the tractor in the top picture? I didn't realize you could see him! Daddy pointed it out!
