Here it is another year and we are keeping busy with everyday life! As you can see from this picture the kids sure can make a mess in a hurry! Also, big guy would much rather bring a bowl of snow in to play with than get all dressed up and go out to play. We have been out in the little bit of snow we have gotten and it just seemed to cause a lot of frustration trying to walk through the drifts. Cold, wet and crying they returned to the house for something warm to drink.

Our little lady never ceases to make us laugh! She always has something up her sleeve! Here she had put on daddy's hat and came into the room where he was making coffee just laughing her mischievous laugh!

Then she became serious as she got down to work at her 'desk'. (must be fixing brother's shoe...although I am not sure what is wrong with it!)

We had some new additions to our little frontier this past month also! We acquired six little kittens. Four black, one orange and one tortoise shell colored. For a while we let them play inside. Big guy had so much fun putting them in this basket...and as you well know they did not always stay there. So he had a morning full of chasing kittens around the house trying to keep them all corralled in the basket.

Last month it seemed with special meetings, family visiting, colds and the flu bug we did not get much posting done...however we did enjoy our many special privilages! The picture below was taken as we prepared to go out of the house after a week of being sick. The dogs were coming along for the ride and I guess the cat wanted to come too! But he did change his mind when we all got into the pickup!

It seems I never can remember where I left off on updating all on the kiddos. At one point recently we posted some of the words our little lady was saying....then abandoned that because she is talking so much that it is impossible to keep up on the words! She has little moods where she will repeat anything and everything you say. Then she must catalog those words (and phrases) in her little mind....because she seems not to forget to many words! This morning she said 'some milk' instead of just milk when asking for her sippy cup.
Big guy has not changed too much....he talks quite well with some letters not quite what they should be but will catch on with time. His Y's usually sound like L's but he has started saying blanket instead of weetah! We have worked with him on his alphabet but does not seem all that interested to sit down and have a lesson in them. He loves to read books and listen to tapes though and does pick up more from those than we realize!
Winter here has treated us very well really. We did have a blizzard last week but our weather has been mild for the most part. Two weeks ago I told someone that I could not believe we were going to town in December with light jackets on! The wind has been relentless though! With a nice calm day sprinkled here and there. Hope all have a wonderful new year! May this be our best year ever!

I've been missing you and your updates!! I just had to chuckle at litte Miss and her hat and I think Mr. H. is rather innovative by figuring out how to enjoy snow without the nasty cold and wind!! Hugs all around!
Love the update! I left a comment the other day but it didn't post. No biggy, just wanted to say its fun to pop in and see the kids grow and what they are busy with
so fun!
Thanks for your update! Your little lady looks so much like you did when you were that age... esp. in the picture of her with the shoe on the table. Sweet!!
