Mothers Day

The Adventure...

...that was ended by Mom! But first A Laugh for the day...

 

 This is a sign they put up in the community this spring. Eventually they realized their mistake and fixed it.

Back to the adventure... Mommy looked out the door one day to see these three headed off to who knows where but they were a lot farther from the house than I like them to be. So, after getting their attention and the message across that they needed to return I ran and got the camera to take pictures of the way older brother was looking out for his little brother. They are a bit blurry but if you enlarge some of them, their expressions are priceless!

Big Happenings!

We have had a few big changes happen in the last month and more to come! Big Guy had Kindergarten Round-up. It will be hard to change gears this fall and get him off to school in the mornings!

Baby Sister is now three months old!! She uses her hands some and is discovering her feet. She uses her tongue all the time to check things out, which, looks quite funny most of the time! She prefers sitting up to laying down and even tries to sit up on her own. She loves to visit and is such a smiley baby.

 Matching dresses! A big thank you to Grandma Esther for getting these adorable dresses for the girls! The picture does not do them justice.

 This picture cracks me up every time I look at it! You can see the mischief in Little Britches' eyes and he is mischief through and through! The other night we got to bible study sat down, but there was not a spot for Little Britches so he says "Sit, Me" with his hands turned up and shrugging his shoulders. Daddy picked him up, sat him on the couch by Big Guy and he promptly reaches over and squeezes Big Guys leg right above the knee! Which did make his brother jump as he intended! Yep he definitely keeps things rolling at this house.

 Here is Baby Sister talking as she does at some point during every day. Evening is when she likes to visit most.

Another BIG happeming around here...Little Britches is now two years old! Hard to believe that he is two already and yet in some ways he seems older than that.

Flash Back

Just a few pictures of the present and then some from the years gone by! Here is the only current family picture we have. Not very professional and it is hard to get everyone looking at the camera and much more difficult to get us all smiling at once. Plus there was a lot going on behind the camera that was occupying the kiddos.

 Baby hands are so sweet! Not to mention their feet! :)

 One tired little boy!

 Here is a picture of Big Guy at Three months. Many people have asked if our other kiddos had dark hair too. So here is to one yes!

 This is our little lady. As you can tell had almost nothing for hair! And it was lighter in color.

 Here is Little Britches. He was nearly bald too but what he did have was darker than Little Lady's hair though you cannot tell that from this picture very well. 

Little Britches is now putting sentences together like crazy. Baby Sister has started figuring out her hands and is reaching out to grab things now! She prefers standing or moving around instead of sitting still and loves to watch the other kids or mommy working around the house. She coo's smiles and tries to laugh. Oh, did I mention she smiles?...not just now and then but she loves to smile! She wakes up smiling! Anyone who will stop and talk to her is rewarded with smiles.

2 Months Old!

Two Months have come and gone in a flash! She no longer is a newborn! She looks older than she is too we think it has to do with all her dark hair.

 Playing at Grandpa and Grandma's house with toys that Daddy played with when he was little. Except for the Semi Truck that is. The truck is a birthday gift to Big Guy from Cousin L.  Little Britches however seems to think it is HIS truck. He drives around saying "Mine, Mine" Another favorite word of his right now is 'Hanks, Hanks' (Thanks!)

Baby Sister is now a month and a half. Time is flying Oh SO quickly!

Little Britches and Baby Sister: he LOVES his baby sister! Is quite over zealous sometimes so we have to watch him! He comes up and says, "holders?" he wants to hold her all the time. And if she is in bed and crying he comes running...usually shouting...FRYING! FRYING! (crying!) then if you don't pick her up right away he reaches for her and says Holders! (hold her)! It is so fun to watch the older kids with their Baby sister!

 Little Lady and her baby sister...she likes to hold her all the time too. And really believes she is old enough to change her diaper, get her to stop crying, rock her to sleep, etc! They have a few matching outfits including some pj's And Little Lady's baby doll has pajamas that match baby sister! (mommy doesn't really like that because when walking through the house and you catch a glimpse of a doll that has the same clothes on and dark hair like Baby sister I always have to look twice! And believe me it gives you a start when you think your little baby is lying in a heap somewhere!!!!! However we are always VERY careful not to leave Baby Sister somewhere that she could be picked up by a well meaning sibling!)

 A picture of them all...not very good of baby sister she was getting ready to yawn but it is rather difficult to get a picture of them all and this was the best of the MANY pictures that were taken while Little Britches would sit still. Not something he does very well!

 Big Guy informed me the other day that he was not five yet because he had not had a cake yet! So while he was out with daddy one morning we threw together this cake as a surprise for him.

 Now he can officially say he is five! And NOT at all excited about school. Hopefully he will change his mind come fall.

Oh! I almost forgot! Baby Sister has officially started cooing! She has been trying to but could not quite get the hang of it but this morning she was talking away! We think she is going to be as social as her older brother! (Little Britches)

Also, one of these days I will go back and find pictures of the boys at Baby Sister's age. They both had dark hair too!

Big Guy is 5!!!

We celebrated Big Guy's birthday...twice! We had a party with Cousin K last Sunday at Grandpa L's

 This was the highlight of that day!

 The we celebrated on his birthday with cupcakes and ice cream at lunchtime.

 These pictures were taken of Baby Sister just today! She was in such a smiley mood this afternoon! 

She usually wakes up smiling in the morning but haven't been able to get any pictures. This afternoon when the camera came out she just kept smiling!
