Just hafta laugh

Little Lady got into my potting soil while I was replanting my plants. Here she is all dirty!

Go away mom you weren't supposed to see this!

I took her, cleaned her up then put her down in the living room with some toys. Before long she was back at the bag of potting soil, which was taller than her, and so I said No NO....she looked at me for a second then promptly reached over and pushed the door shut! What a personality already!

here is a picture of one of the tomato plants. Notice it has its "hands clasped".

My story. When I went to post these pictures the other day they would not upload so Today I went to update the post and well to keep from boring you to death long story short you will have to refer to post "Welcome to the Fron-tier" That is actually the post that needs to be on the top but cannot get it there!!! sOMEDAY I will figure this all out! (probably when my kids are old enough to explain it! How does the younger generation always seem to KNOW these things?!)

Welcome to the Fron-tier

That is what I said to my kids this morning when we were all snuggled in our bed this morning because the stove went out some time last night. Daddy hopped out of bed to go light it and landed in a puddle of water on the floor. Yep the roof is leaking! So glad it is not leaking over our bed! So I greeted the kids this morning with a Loud Joyful "Welcome to the Frontier!" Not my normal "Good Morning Big Guy" "Good Morning Little Lady!" So now today I have a deep desire to look up some homesteading stories...for now just this one.



The first people who lived on this (intermission...the lights are dimming...maybe we will lose power too!! Yippeee candle party!) little piece of land: here is their story: Mr. (Not Sure His Name) built a house then went to pick of his little wifey. When they arrived home the house, built of sticks, had been blown to pieces. Gotta love the wind to live here! So Mr. and Mrs. Homesteaders lived under their covered wagon until they could build a more practical Sod House!



And now for a picture I had started posting a few days ago, due to numerous interuptions, it did not get done. Big Guy and Little Lady were "sharing" and apple. Yes Sharing in more ways than one!!

A breath of fresh air...

Nothing can replace the smell of a gentle rain! Today was our first thunderstorm of the spring. What a welcome sight and sound it was...the gentle rumbles rolling across the prairie and the rain leaving little spots in the dust. And mmmmm the smell! So busy was I watching the rain and the sun begin to poke out the clouds it wasnt until turning around I saw Brother had given sister his spatula to lick off! I was making reeses Ice Cream as a treat for the guys at lunch time. She sure was enjoying the peanut butter. OOPS.
After getting our computer taken apart it has been sitting on the floor looking for a new home Big Guy sure thought he was big stuff "playing" the computer.
