New thing!

Holden's new thing is to pull a blanket, or whatever he can get his hands on, up around his nose and fall asleep that way!

We woke up this morning to this deer in our "yard". We have started putting the dogs in the kennel at night so the wildlife around here is getting a little more brave!

An update on Holden....He really is very aware of his surroundings. He just loves to watch what is going on. His favorite place to be when we are eating is sitting on our laps so he can see what we are eating! Last night he did roll over but it was totally an accident! We had him on his tummy and he was just wiggling around and pretty soon over he went. Boy was he ever surprised!! Well this will be the last post for a wee bit. I have to take this computer to get some things fixed.

So Green!

We are having a wonderful spring it is sooooo green!!!

We did have a bit of hail last night these pieces you see here on the deck are about as big as it got here....other places had baseball size hail!!!

This was the sky after the hail storm passed. Notice the color of the sky on the left side of the rainbow and on the right side it is so blue!

Tractor work

Holden, Harley and I went riding in the tractor. Grant was planting the last field of millet. Here Harley decided that maybe he should drive!!

The field we were working on...it is custom work we are doing...that is why there are strips.

It sure has been a while since I last posted!! We have been traveling, working eating and growing! Holden is getting bigger by the day! These pictures are just some miscellaneous pictures of Holden. Daddy was letting him lick the beater!

Flashbacks to Itaipu

Grant and I took a trip to Brazil last year and these are pictures from the power plant there. I cannot remember all the details but this is the largest Hydroelectric plant in the world and considered one of the seven man made wonders of the world. You cannot fit the whole plant in one picture!

This is the control room, because the plant is located on the river that separates Paraguay and Brazil they share the plant. The desk at the left of the room is run by people hired in Paraguay. The desk at the right of the room is run by people hired in Brazil and the desk in the center is the man in charge of the plant for that year. They change the "president's" position every year. One year it is held by someone from Paraguay and the next year a Brazilian holds the position.

Notice also the line down the center of the room. That separates the countries.

This large hallway is actually where the generators are brought in and installed. Each red circle on the floor is the 'door' to a generator. This is not the whole hallway this is only looking one direction. We were standing at almost exactly the middle of the plant!

Wisconsin

We took a trip for my aunt's birthday she is over the hill you know. So I suppose that is why when the bagpiper showed up to play her happy birthday she was nowhere to be found. (they tell me you get forgetfull when you become over the hill) She had gone to Penzeys to buy some spices. So those of us who stayed behind enjoyed the bagpiper ourselves!

Here are the hardworking people who put together the birthday party and other activities. They had lots of help too but have to give credit to the daughters of the birthday girl!
