Excuses...

 It is time for me to show our readers...who have probably long given up...why we have been so negligent about posting! As we posted way back in...well... I don't remember...maybe December!? Time has gone by so fast. But back to the point we have relocated to this beautiful place! We absolutely love it! Because spring came and went and summer is in full swing we spend most of our time trying to keep up what was established before we came along. There is with this grand house a large beautiful yard. When I took most of these pictures it was getting dark and we did not capture all of the beautiful flowers.

 And of course the garden is what takes most of the time and again I just snapped a few pictures to show what has kept us so busy that we didn't get the whole garden pictured well. But also I am a bit afraid of snakes and don't really like walking around the yard when the lighting is not very good. We do have reason to be cautious too! So far this year we have seen 12 snakes in the yard. Thank goodness they have been bull snakes and one very large garter snake and a baby garter snake. No rattlers yet. Hopefully it stays that way.

 Chickens....Our oldest does most of the chicken chores but they still take a bit of time each day. Usually because they get let out and it is a challenge getting them back in!

 And now harvest! It is in full swing. We did sneak out a dusk yesterday to try and get a few pictures there too. So much fun to be at the field again. Just this for now and hopefully I can try to do a better job of keeping some news coming!

Puppy

 We got this puppy awhile back...Poor Harley (the black dog) Has suffered ever since! It seems the puppy's favorite place to sit is on top of Harley!

 Doesn't matter how big she gets Harley is her personal pillow. What we cannot figure out is why he puts up with it!

The big O-N-E

 Our Baby Girl is One Year old. Early in the morning she climbed up on the stool all by herself for the first time. Then she had to show us that she is SO big! Big enough to comb her own hair...

 Baby Sister has been so much fun this past year. We have been soaking up the days with her and the rest of the kids too. With Big Brother in school it seems a bit quieter than the 'normal' but the days are still full. Especially with someone who has learned to walk the last couple weeks. There is no where in the house that she cannot go. Up and down the stairs bathrooms and even can climb up on some of the beds. And if the door to outside is open she will be out there.

 She is full of mischief and smiles. Snuggles and giggles.

 Due to sick kids in the house and the fact that she loves chocolate chip cookies we just made her her own personal pan cookie instead of a birthday cake and had a quiet celebration at home. Happy Birthday to our Baby Girl and may there be many more years of sweetness to come! :-)

The House!

 We are loving our new house! Coming in the drive the above picture is what you see. Then the next picture is where most people park and the side with the garage and deck. The deck is right off the kitchen/office area.

 Our first few nights in the house were in the guest room. Which is currently all ready for company!

That is all the pictures for now of moving in but we will take more of what it looks like with everything settled. We would like to do a bit more painting some day but it might be awhile before some of that happens. Right now we have our hands full getting everything settled and little projects done.

A little bit of everything

 I know it has been quite a while since my last post and a lot has happened since then! As many may know we have been looking and hoping for a new house to open up in the community...and one finally did and we got moved! There are pictures to come on that soon but thought I would update everyone first on the kids. Baby Sister is crawling all over the place and just since we got moved has started pulling herself up to a standing position. Even brave enough to try standing without holding onto anything but that only lasts for a short while.

Big Brother has started Kindergarten and is loving it! His teacher is great and keeps the kids busy. He is in a class of six boys and one girl so it is a very lively, active class! They had their first school performance the other night and it was fun to watch.

 The family clown keeps us all laughing! He is having the hardest time adjusting to the move. For the first week we would tell him to go to his bedroom and he didn't know where to go. Now when you tell him to go to his bedroom he says 'what bedroom' or you tell him to go to the kitchen and he says 'what kitchen'. Also everywhere we go he says we are going 'home'. He has a good attitude about it all though and is such a sweet brother. He will walk into a room where Baby Sister is and say 'you my cootie pie'.

 Little Lady is becoming quite the helper and along with that is coming the 'bossy' sister syndrome! She does like having a live doll to play with though! Much to the frustration of her parents that is! She is trying to keep up with everyone and everything and it keeps her quite busy.

 This is what happens when Daddy baby sits for a little while so mommy can get something done! He put her to sleep in a little wagon. Sometimes Daddy's have some pretty good ideas!
