2 Months Old!

Two Months have come and gone in a flash! She no longer is a newborn! She looks older than she is too we think it has to do with all her dark hair.

 Playing at Grandpa and Grandma's house with toys that Daddy played with when he was little. Except for the Semi Truck that is. The truck is a birthday gift to Big Guy from Cousin L.  Little Britches however seems to think it is HIS truck. He drives around saying "Mine, Mine" Another favorite word of his right now is 'Hanks, Hanks' (Thanks!)

Baby Sister is now a month and a half. Time is flying Oh SO quickly!

Little Britches and Baby Sister: he LOVES his baby sister! Is quite over zealous sometimes so we have to watch him! He comes up and says, "holders?" he wants to hold her all the time. And if she is in bed and crying he comes running...usually shouting...FRYING! FRYING! (crying!) then if you don't pick her up right away he reaches for her and says Holders! (hold her)! It is so fun to watch the older kids with their Baby sister!

 Little Lady and her baby sister...she likes to hold her all the time too. And really believes she is old enough to change her diaper, get her to stop crying, rock her to sleep, etc! They have a few matching outfits including some pj's And Little Lady's baby doll has pajamas that match baby sister! (mommy doesn't really like that because when walking through the house and you catch a glimpse of a doll that has the same clothes on and dark hair like Baby sister I always have to look twice! And believe me it gives you a start when you think your little baby is lying in a heap somewhere!!!!! However we are always VERY careful not to leave Baby Sister somewhere that she could be picked up by a well meaning sibling!)

 A picture of them all...not very good of baby sister she was getting ready to yawn but it is rather difficult to get a picture of them all and this was the best of the MANY pictures that were taken while Little Britches would sit still. Not something he does very well!

 Big Guy informed me the other day that he was not five yet because he had not had a cake yet! So while he was out with daddy one morning we threw together this cake as a surprise for him.

 Now he can officially say he is five! And NOT at all excited about school. Hopefully he will change his mind come fall.

Oh! I almost forgot! Baby Sister has officially started cooing! She has been trying to but could not quite get the hang of it but this morning she was talking away! We think she is going to be as social as her older brother! (Little Britches)

Also, one of these days I will go back and find pictures of the boys at Baby Sister's age. They both had dark hair too!

Big Guy is 5!!!

We celebrated Big Guy's birthday...twice! We had a party with Cousin K last Sunday at Grandpa L's

 This was the highlight of that day!

 The we celebrated on his birthday with cupcakes and ice cream at lunchtime.

 These pictures were taken of Baby Sister just today! She was in such a smiley mood this afternoon! 

She usually wakes up smiling in the morning but haven't been able to get any pictures. This afternoon when the camera came out she just kept smiling!

Five Weeks Old!

This picture was taken today. Her cheeks are filling out and she is a lot more alert as the days go by!

She is such a joy to have around. Especially in the mornings! She wakes up happy and smiling!

One Month!

Baby Sister is a whole Month Old!!!

It was hard to believe she was a week old just not so very long ago and it seems surreal that she could actually be a month old! She is so precious and loved by us all! Here is just an assortment of pictures

 We want to do posts that feature Baby Sister with each of her siblings so here is

Big Guy and Baby Sister. He LOVES his Baby Sister. Likes to hold her and take care of her.

He was helping Mommy do dishes the other night and Baby Sister made a little bit of noise. Immediately he left his job and told Mommy that he would take care of her and she could finish the dishes! 

Big Guy took the following picture. 

We wanted one like this but he was the only person around who could take the picture so he did! 

Did a pretty good job of it too!

Week 2 and 3

We had every intention of updating the blog every week until Baby Sister is a month old. However, life happened and it was not possible to do! The first picture here was of Baby Sister at two weeks old. Her two week appointment she had a cold and was not doing well so when the Dr. looked her over he decided that the best thing to do was watch her over night in the hospital. Well that over night stay turned out to be a four night stay. She was having a hard time keeping her oxygen levels up. So she was on oxygen a good share of that time. And they won't send you home until they can be off oxygen for 24 hours. They kept all the gunk out of her nose and suctioned it out of her chest a few times and that helped a lot. Long story short we were finally able to come home and have been busy trying to get the house back in shape and settled in again!

 Her follow up appointment with the Dr. he was very pleased with her recovery progress and didn't think she would have any more problems from that cold. Now we have just been trying to keep her home and healthy! Here is a Three Week picture of her 'talking' with Daddy.

 Three weeks and very alert!

 This isn't the best picture of her but it is the only picture we have been able to snap of her smile! She has been smiling every now and then! Usually not when the camera is around though.

We have lots more pictures we want to get caught up on but this will have to do for now!
