Five Weeks Old!

This picture was taken today. Her cheeks are filling out and she is a lot more alert as the days go by!

She is such a joy to have around. Especially in the mornings! She wakes up happy and smiling!

Going back

We are going back to do a bit of catch up! Here are some of the visitors we had after Baby Sister was born.

One Month!

Baby Sister is a whole Month Old!!!

It was hard to believe she was a week old just not so very long ago and it seems surreal that she could actually be a month old! She is so precious and loved by us all! Here is just an assortment of pictures

 We want to do posts that feature Baby Sister with each of her siblings so here is

Big Guy and Baby Sister. He LOVES his Baby Sister. Likes to hold her and take care of her.

He was helping Mommy do dishes the other night and Baby Sister made a little bit of noise. Immediately he left his job and told Mommy that he would take care of her and she could finish the dishes! 

Big Guy took the following picture. 

We wanted one like this but he was the only person around who could take the picture so he did! 

Did a pretty good job of it too!

Week 2 and 3

We had every intention of updating the blog every week until Baby Sister is a month old. However, life happened and it was not possible to do! The first picture here was of Baby Sister at two weeks old. Her two week appointment she had a cold and was not doing well so when the Dr. looked her over he decided that the best thing to do was watch her over night in the hospital. Well that over night stay turned out to be a four night stay. She was having a hard time keeping her oxygen levels up. So she was on oxygen a good share of that time. And they won't send you home until they can be off oxygen for 24 hours. They kept all the gunk out of her nose and suctioned it out of her chest a few times and that helped a lot. Long story short we were finally able to come home and have been busy trying to get the house back in shape and settled in again!

 Her follow up appointment with the Dr. he was very pleased with her recovery progress and didn't think she would have any more problems from that cold. Now we have just been trying to keep her home and healthy! Here is a Three Week picture of her 'talking' with Daddy.

 Three weeks and very alert!

 This isn't the best picture of her but it is the only picture we have been able to snap of her smile! She has been smiling every now and then! Usually not when the camera is around though.

We have lots more pictures we want to get caught up on but this will have to do for now!

One Week!

Time is flying way to fast! Our little flower is already a week old!

It is so hard to believe it has been a week when it seems like just yesterday when we brought her home.

The past week has been fairly uneventful...we have just been enjoying lots of baby snuggles! :) 

 We had to take Auntie K back to the airplane which was not easy to do!

And all the other kiddos have picked up a cold that seems to hang on for quite awhile. So they have not been getting as many Baby Sister snuggles as Daddy and Mommy.

 The other morning Big Guy was holding Baby Sister, Little Lady was taking care of her

and Little britches was sitting in the little rocking chair singing to baby. 

Some of the things that happen around here daily...

Baby Sister gets her hair rubbed daily!

Lots of snuggling, and funny conversations with the kids.

And every evening Baby Sister gets the hiccups! 

We wanted to get a lot more pictures today but maybe we can get to it tomorrow!

Here are some more pictures. Little Britches was the first one brave enough to climb up and hold his baby Sister. And he got quite possessive! When Little Lady and BG wanted a turn he kept telling them NO!

Baby Sister!

Baby Sister has arrived! 

February 5, 2013 at 10:18 pm. 

She was 7 lbs 10 oz. and 20.5 inches long.

Mommy and Baby are both doing very well!

We got home early this morning while the kids were still sleeping.

It was fun to hear their first words after realizing that she was home. 

Little Britches grabbed Mommy's finger and said, "Mommy! Mommy! Baby! Run!" and off he ran, mommy in tow, to see Baby Sister! 

Little Lady was looking at her with a big grin and finally said, "Guess what?! I pet her and she wiggled!" 

Big Guy has not said much but he definitely is glad to have her home as we all are!
