Mother's Day

A happy Mother's Day to all of you Mother's out there. This was our Mother's Day dinner that our men fixed for us. We had spinach salad with strawberries, blueberries, feta cheese and almonds on top. Spit roasted pork loin, asparagas, creamed corn, deviled eggs and bread, cinnamon bread and wheat. Dessert was Creme Brulee! All was very delicious!

First haircut!

H. had his first haircut. Here is a before picture...

Here are during pictures! He really did very well for it being his first one. We gave him a sucker and sat him infront of a mirror. Also daddy was there to keep him entertained.

This is not a very good after picture but dont have a better one right now. He had taken my dusting stuff and was driving or maybe cleaning his tractor.

Vacation

Mommy and H. took a trip to see the MT Grandparents. We spent close to 2 weeks up there with them and sure had a blast! The first weekend was Great Grandpa's 90th birthday party and lots of family was present. Above H. is playing with L. who is just about one year older. They sure had fun! Also H. got introduced to nice warm weather and playing in the dirt. He sure loved Grandma's flower beds!

And riding in the wheelbarrow when we had a full load of branches!

Here is a project we did on Grandma's wall...or rather Mommy did while H. took a nap! Much easier to paint when little hands are at rest!

Just an update on H. he is pretty much trying to run everywhere already and say words. We have taught him please in sign language so he uses that every chance he can get. Otherwise there are lots of things it sounds like he is saying but not quite sure if it is just coincidence or actually knowing the words and sounds! We are gearing up for the FIRST haircut! Other new news: Our momma cat had five kittens this time...dont have picutres yet as they are just 6 days old!

Greetings to all! Thanks for the Happy Birthdays! I sure did have fun on this trip! But, maybe I should back up to the day before we left for CA. We had some appointments in town. At the Dr. Office. My one year and Mommy had an appointment too! After mommy's appointment they told me I am going to be a big brother...now I am not sure exactly what a baby sister is but Mommy and Daddy are excited so guess it is a good thing. Daddy and Mommy also tell me that the big event is to take place in July. Guess that is when I find out what a baby is and what a sister is too! Now back to our trip and more pictures...

...This picture is artichokes growing in Southern CA. Grandma decided we should get one and try it so we did! They are good with Mayo or Ranch on them!

Playing in the pool...it was much warmer than the Ocean!

On our way back home we drove through another big city...there was so much to see...but we did not stop...just drove right on through. Mommy said this was Las Vegas.

Finally we did stop at Hoover dam...and looked at this bridge being built that will look down onto the dam when it is all finished!

My First Birthday!

This month was my First Birthday! Can you believe I am already one whole year old!? Daddy and Mommy cannot either! But I sure didn't want to wait around in the baby stage so much that I would miss out on all there is to see and learn! Well Daddy and Mommy loaded up the car to take me on my first big trip! We headed to Santa Cruz where we met up with my Grandpa and Grandma, who came all the way from MT to celebrate with us! We also picked up my Auntie and Uncle from the airport before going to the little house we rented!

Auntie K. got me this little tractor I am riding on and Grandpa and Grandma got me this hat along with the tool belt that makes noise! Grandpa and Grandma also got me a dump truck! So big that I can ride in it! I like it when Daddy and Mommy push me around then dump me out!

Mommy made this cake then she and auntie K. decorated it! Boy did I have fun eating it. I didn't waste time playing in it either. Just dug in and chowed down while everyone was standing there laughing...

...I still can't figure out what they were laughing at...Oh, well...I sure enjoyed that cake! In fact liked it enough that I had a second helping!

Discovering!

Catching up...H. has been walking good for about one week now! It is still a wee bit of a shock sometimes to look around and see him walking towards me!
We had company for a little while! Monday we babysat for the neighbor girl. H. did not quite know what to do with an 8 month old in the house but he did play with him!

H. has discovered how to take his diaper off...well the wrap anyways!

Finally the little plummer. The only thing missing is the sagging pants!
